How to Update a College Application After Submitting

Short answer: Only if it matters.

Longer answer: Most updates don’t move the needle. A new award, a significant accomplishment, or a meaningful change to your profile is worth sending. A new club membership is not. Use the school’s applicant portal if they provide one. If they don’t, a brief, professional email to your regional admissions officer is fine. Keep it short, factual, and free of apology for the update.
